DuBOIS, Pa. (EYT/D9) — On the opening weekend of the season, the Karns City girls soccer team was dealt back-to-back blows, losing to Clearfield and then watching a lead slip away against DuBois.

A few weeks later, Karns City traveled to DuBois and on the strength of a goal by McKenna Martin off a corner by Hanna Dailey with just three minutes left in the second overtime, the Gremlins emerged with a 3-2 win on Monday evening.

“The girls played good, hard soccer tonight,” said Karns City coach Tracy Dailey.

Emma Dailey scored the first goal off an assist by Martin, and Hanna Dailey added the second for Karns City on a penalty kick to make it 2-1 before DuBois came back to tie it with three minutes remaining in regulation to force overtime.

After a scoreless first OT, Martin ended it.
