9-20 ROUNDUP: Redbank Valley Volleyball Sweeps Brookville; Covert and Sankey Share Medalist Honors in Moniteau Girls Golf Win

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Alivia Huffman had 10 kills and Mylee Harmon 18 assists to lead the Redbank Valley volleyball team to a 25-17, 25-17, 25-23 sweep of Brookville on Tuesday night.

Izzy Bond added six kills and six aces and Caylen Rearick 10 digs and three aces for the Bulldogs.

A-C VALLEY 3, KARNS CITY 1 — Lexi Ruckdeschel had another big night with 15 kills and 10 digs and Mackenzie Parks pitched in eight kills and 11 digs of her own as the Falcons won 25-20, 25-18, 22-25, 25-12.

Jenna Stefanacci had 22 assists and Bella Ielase eight digs for A-C Valley.

Rosie Carden had 12 assists and 12 digs for Karns City.

Ava Fox also had a strong match for the Gremlins with 11 kills and 12 digs.

Kendall Ritzert also had 10 assists, four digs and two aces and Nicole Taylor 12 digs.

It was the fourth consecutive win for A-C Valley.

KEYSTONE 3, FOREST 0 — Cameron Peters had 10 service points with seven aces to help lead the Panthers to a 25-5, 25-10, 25-7 sweep.

She also had two kills in the win.

Bryanna Mong had six assists and eight service points and Ava Patrick pitched in a team-high five kills for Keystone (7-1).

The Panthers also won the junior varsity match, 25-9, 25-7. Abbi Sell had three digs and seven digs. Kira Edmonds had 13 points and six aces.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 3, MONITEAU 0 — Ciara Toven had eight kills to lead the Chucks to a 25-7, 25-11, 25-11 sweep.

Danielle Griebel pitched in 23 assists for Punxsutawney.

Hannah Migliorisi had four kills, three digs and an ace and Allie Pry seven digs for the Warriors.

GIRLS GOLF

Emma Covert and Kendall Sankey each fired a 46 at Foxburg Country Club to share medalist honors at a KSAC match.

Mariska Shunk shot a 50 and Autumn Stewart a 54 for the Warriors, who downed Cranberry by nine strokes, 142-151.

Kendall Findlay carded a 49 for the Berries.

A-C Valley’s Evie Bliss also shot a 49.

GIRLS SOCCER

Jenna Mazzaferro scored four goals as St. Marys used a big second half for a 7-0 win over Ridgway.

Izza Catalone, who scored the other three goals for the Flying Dutch, and Mazzaferro scored in the first half for a 2-0 St. Marys lead.

They combined for five second-half goals.

Avery Eckels had two assists and Olivia Eckels stopped 13 shots at the net.
