9-25 ROUNDUP: Keystone Volleyball Gets Back on Track; Clarion’s 48-match Win Streak Ends

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Leah Exley had 12 kills, three aces and 11 digs as the Keystone volleyball team bounced back from dropping the first set to Moniteau to win 20-25, 25-13, 25-15, 25-16.

Reagan Mays had 17 sets, 16 service points with five aces and nine digs. Natalie Bowser led the Panthers with six aces and also notched 14 points at the service line to go with 12 assists, seven kills and three blocks.

Keystone was coming off a 3-0 loss to Clarion on Tuesday and improved to 5-1.

Abbey Jewart has 12 assists and three kills for Moniteau.

The Warriors also got four kills and four blocks from Davina Pry.

A-C VALLEY 3, NORTH CLARION 0 — Lexi Ruckdeschel continued her excellent campaign with 14 kills, 14 digs and six blocks to lead the Falcons to the sweep of the Wolves.

Bella Ielase had eight kills, Mackenzie Parks four kills and 12 digs, Jenna Stefanacci 17 assists, Hanna Ithen four kills and Keira McVay 11 digs for A-C Valley, which has now won two in a row.

WARREN 3, CLARION 0 — For the first time in 34 months, the Bobcats have lost a match.

Aryana Girvan had eight kills and Hadlee Campbell seven in the 25-20, 25-18, 25-20 setback, the first since Clarion lost to Northern Cambria in the PIAA Class A semifinals in November of 2019.

The Bobcats have won the last two Class A state championships and had a streak of 48 consecutive wins.

Grace Ochs had 16 assists and seven digs and Taylor Alston had six kills for Clarion.

DuBOIS 3, KARNS CITY 0 — Ava Fox had five kills and nine digs as the Gremlins were swept 25-8, 25-21, 26-24.

Jessica Dunn also had eight digs for Karns City.

No stats were available for DuBois.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 3, SHEFFIELD 0 — Tori Newton has 10 kills, Regan Bauer eight kills and six aces and Madison Marzullo seven kills and three blocks as the Crusaders notched another sweep, 25-12, 25-19, 25-12.

Kiri Emmert had 26 asssists for ECC.

GIRLS SOCCER

Alexandra Shoemaker scored a pair of goals as Redbank Valley in a 5-2 win over Punxsutawney.

Ember Hetrick, Lia Hageter and Lilli Barrett also scored for the Bulldogs.

Hetrick and Bella Orr had assists.

ST. MARYS 6, KANE 1 — Sophie Radkowski and Rachelle Fritz both scored a pair of goals to lead the Dutch.

Gianna Surra and Jenna Mazzaferro also found the back of the net for St. Marys, which led 2-0 at the half.

Fritz also had two assists.

Olivia Eckels had 14 saves for the Dutch.
