9-30 ROUNDUP: Union Volleyball Sweeps Moniteau; Meah Ielase Continues Hot Streak Against Redbank Valley

RIMERSBURG, Pa. (EYT/D9) – Dominika Logue had nine kills and four aces as the Union volleyball team swept visiting Moniteau 25-19, 28-26, 25-15 Thursday night.

Moniteau was coming off its first win of the season Wednesday night against North Clarion.

But Union’s balance was a little too much for the Warriors. Hailey Kriebel and Taylor Shick each had six kills, Kennedy Vogle had 12 digs, Keira Croyle 10 assists and Grace Kindel six assists and three aces for the Damsels.

A-C Valley 3, Redbank Valley 1 – Meah Ielase had another huge night for the Falcons with 15 kills and 22 digs as the Falcons toppled the Bulldogs, 27-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-22.

Jenna Stefanacci had 21 assists and eight digs for A-C Valley.

Paige Klingler added five kills and Bella Ielase six digs for the Falcons.

Clarion-Limestone 3, Keystone 1 – Despite nine kills, three blocks and nine service points from Sydney Bell, the Panthers lost to the Lions, 25-15, 23-25, 17-25, 18-25.

Leah Exley led Keystone’s attack with 12 kills.

Alyssa Weaver had 13 assists and Karley Callander had 10 service points for Keystone (4-3), which has lost two straight.

Clarion 3, Karns City 0 – The Bobcats dominated again with a 25-13, 25-12, 25-11 sweep of the Gremlins on the road.

Rosie Carden had three kills, seven assists and four digs for Karns City. Jessica Dunn added three aces and Ashley Fox nine digs for the Gremlins.

No individual statistics were available for Clarion.

Elk County Catholic 3, St. Marys 0 – The Crusaders had a big night at the net with Tori Newton registering 12 kills, Madison Marzullo nine and Maddie Bierley eight in the 25-14, 25-17, 25-15 win over their cross-town rivals.

Elk County Catholic had 12 aces and only three service errors in the match.

Moira Stanisch had 21 assists for the Crusaders.
