DuBois Softball to Host Playoff Game Wednesday

DUBOIS, Pa. – The DuBois softball team will host a District 6-9 Class 5A playoff game at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Highland Street Field.

The Lady Beavers (10-6 entering action Friday) will take on Hollidaysburg. DuBois is the second seed and Hollidaysburg (3-12 entering action Friday) is the third seed in the three-team tournament,

Top-seeded Central Mountain (13-4 entering action Friday) has a bye into the championship game, which will be played May 23 at St. Francis (Pa.) University at a time to be determined.

DuBois defeated Hollidaysburg April 20 by a score of 12-5. The Lady Beavers lost to Central Mountain, 11-7, at the Central Mountain Tournament April 28.

The playoff bracket is being run by District 6. There is no admission to the game Wednesday at DuBois.
