10-17 ROUNDUP: Keystone, Karns City Volleyball Teams Roll; Clarion Wins Soccer Battle With RV

FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Leah Exley had eight kills and 12 digs as the Keystone volleyball team earned a straight-set win over North Clarion, 25-17, 25-22, 25-15, on Monday night.

Cameron Peters also had a big defensive night with 21 digs for the Panthers.

Audrey Burrows pitched in five kills and eight digs and Natalie Bowser had 12 assists and nine service points fo Keystone (16-2).

KARNS CITY 3, FOREST 0 — Ava Fox had seven kills and Natalie Hess pitched in four kills as the Gremlins rolled to a 25-5, 25-12, 25-14 sweep.

Kendall Ritzert had six aces and eight assists for the Gremlins.

GIRLS SOCCER

Lexi Coull scored the winner late to lead Clarion to a 3-2 win over Redbank Valley.

Elena Root put Redbank Valley up 1-0 at the half, but JJ Wilson knotted things up for Clarion early in the second half.

The Bulldogs regained the lead on a goal by Ember Hetrick.

Anna Gribik scored the equalizer for Clarion on a penalty kick with 29 minutes left on the second-half clock.

About nine minutes later, Coull put the Bobcats up for good.

KARNS CITY 11, PUNXSUTAWNEY 1 — Emma Dailey scored four goals and McKenna Martin added three more as the Gremlins cruised.

Lyrik Reed, Paige Dodd, Cece Morrow and Bella Shields also found the back of the net for Karns City (13-3).

Hanna Dailey had three assists and Emma Dailey two assists.
