CLARION, Pa. (EYT/D9) — The Clarion-Limestone boys and Elk County Catholic girls in Class A received No. 1 seeds for the District 9 soccer playoffs, which begin on Monday.
The Redbank Valley boys received the No. 2 seeds in the nine-team bracket. Other seeds are: 3-Karns City, 4-Elk County Catholic, 5-Port Allegany, 6-Coudersport, 7-Ridgway, 8-Brockway and 9-Brookville.
Brockway will host Brookville on Monday with the quarterfinal round set to begin on Tuesday with the Brookville/Brockway winner at Clarion-Limestone, Port Allegany at ECC, Coudersport at Karns City and Ridgway at Redbank Valley.
All matches are at 6 p.m. except for Port Allegany at ECC, which will kick off at 7 p.m.
On the girls side, Karns City is the second seed in the seven-team bracket. Other seeds are: 3-Forest, 4-Brockway, 5-Brookville, 6-Kane, 7-Ridgway.
ECC received a first-round bye.
In the quarterfinals on Monday, Karns City will host Ridgway at 6 p.m.; Kane will travel to West Forest to take on Forest at 4 p.m.; and Brockway will host Brookville at 5 p.m.
Clearfield and St. Marys are the only two Class 2A teams in the girls bracket. They will face off at Brockway on Oct. 31 for the championship.
In Class 3A boys, Clearfield is the No. 1 seeds, followed by Bradford and DuBois.
Bradford will host DuBois in the semifinal Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.
The championship game is slated for Nov. 1 at Brockway.
Bradford and DuBois are the only two teams in Class 3A girls.
Those two teams will play for the title on Nov. 1 in Brockway.
