A-C Valley/Union Baseball Team Wins Season Debut Over Keystone

DuBOIS, Pa. (EYT/D9) – Max Lowery went 2-for-4 with three RBI and Trey Fleming also had a pair of hits, including a triple, with three runs scored as the Union/A-C Valley baseball team downed Keystone, 16-6 in six innings, at Stern Field Tuesday afternoon.

Zeke Causey also went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI for A-C Valley/Union.

Keystone took a 5-2 lead with a four-run top of the third inning and took a 6-4 lead into the bottom of the fifth before A-C Valley/Union’s offense erupted with five runs in the bottom of the fifth and seven more in the bottom of the sixth to end the game.

Fleming picked up the win, striking out four, walking one and giving up one earned run in two innings of work.

Aidan Sell got the loss. He went four innings, striking out two and walking four while giving up eight runs.

Sell was 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI.

Ian Keth also went 2-for-4 with a double for Keystone.

Nick Cosper also doubled for the Panthers.

It was the season debut for both teams.
