FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Kyler Freeman had herself a night.
The North Clarion sophomore had 25 kills, 25 digs, two blocks, eight service points and two aces as the Wolves pulled out a five-set thriller over DuBois Central Catholic, 20-25, 25-16, 27-25, 21-25, 15-11, on Monday night.
Freeman wasn’t alone.
Alexa Carll had nine digs and 21 digs. Jula Daum pitched in six kills, 15 digs and two aces and Ainsley Hartle had 41 assists, three aces and 10 digs.
Lily Homan also had 15 digs, two blocks, 10 service points and two aces and McKenzie Lencer 14 digs and 12 service points for North Clarion, which is still without one of its top players in Brenna Thompson.
DuBOIS 3, KARNS CITY 0
Haley Reed had 30 assists and Morgan Pasternak and Ava Baronick reached double digits in kills as the Beavers downed the Gremlins, 25-11, 25-11, 25-16.
Ava Fox had four kills and seven digs and Ashley Mauer six assists and three digs for Karns City.
PUNXSUTAWNEY 3, KEYSTONE 0
Ciara Toven had 14 kills and Danielle Griebel had 28 assists to lead the Chucks to the 25-23, 25-19, 25-15 victory over the Panthers.
Ava Patrick had six kills and three blocks for Keystone.
Gwyn Manno had 21 digs and Addison Say had five blocks and a pair of kills for the Panthers.
Keystone won the junior varsity match, 25-15, 17-25, 15-11. Isabella Brandon had 12 digs, six kills, two blocks, eight service points and three aces. Natalie Pfaff had 10 assists.
UNION 3, VENANGO CATHOLIC 0
Kolstin Wetzel had nine kills and Riley Kriebel had six aces as the Damsels won for the first time this season, toppling the Vikings, 25-8, 25-18, 25-10.
Gracie Gallagher also had four kills for Union.
CRANBERRY 3, COMMODORE PERRY 1
Ayanna Ferringer was at it again with 23 kills as the Berries came away with a 25-15, 25-17, 16-25, 25-17 on Senior Night.
Ferringer also had five digs. Allie Rembold had 19 assists and three aces.
