Hanna Dailey’s Hat Trick Helps Lead Karns City Girls Soccer to Big Win Over Redbank; Keystone Volleyball Wins Five-Set Thriller Over A-C Valley

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Hanna Dailey scored three goals as the Karns City girls soccer team went on the road to down Redbank Valley, 8-1, on Thursday evening.

Phoebe Brandon and Sarah Dodd each scored two goals with Lexi Neff also finding the back of the net in the offensive explosion for the Gremlins.

Layla Colsey had a pair of assists with Sarah Bonetto, Bella Shields and Aubrey Price also assisting on goals.

VOLLEYBALL

Ava Patrick had 11 kills and three blocks to go with 10 service points and a pair of aces as Keystone outlasted A-C Valley in a five-set thiller, 25-13, 25-18, 24-26, 25-27, 15-6.

Katherine Burrows had a good all-around night with 10 kills, 12 service points, four aces and 15 digs.

Bryanna Mong led the way with 17 assists.

Maddy Dehart had nine kills and six block and Bella Ielase seven kills and 11 digs for A-C Valley.

Lext Altman pitched in 12 assists and 11 digs and Ava Snyder 14 digs for the Falcons.

REDBANK VALLEY 3, KARNS CITY 0

Taylor Ripple had 12 kills and nine digs and Izzy Bond had 11 kills and seven digs as the Bulldogs beat the Gremlins, 25-11, 28-26, 25-22.

After cruising to the win in the first set, things tightened up in the next two.

Karns City had set-point at 24-22 and again at 24-23, but Redbank Valley was able to knot the game at 24-24.

After trading points, the Bulldogs finally emerged with a set win.

Karns City rallied from 16-10 down to take a 19-18 lead in the third set and led 21-19 late before Redbank Valley went on a run to seize the set and the match.

Mylee Harmon had nine kills and 12 digs and Elaina Carrico had 24 assists for the Bulldogs.

Ava Fox had seven kills and eight digs for Karns City.

Haylie Karenbauer also had seven kills for the the Gremlins. Kendall Ritzert added 10 assists and Ashley Mauer seven assists for Karns City.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 3, MONITEAU 0

Jenna Dunn and Hannah Beggs continued their hot streak at the net with 11 and 10 kills respectively and Kaylee Smith had 32 assists to lead the Lions to a 25-19, 25-20, 25-14 victory to improve to 8-0 this season.

Beggs also had 10 digs and three service aces for Clarion-Limestone.

Abby Knapp-Greeley had 22 digs.

Lily Staab had four kills and Marissa Pry eight digs for the Warriors.

CLARION 3, UNION 0

Marley Kline had a huge night with 14 kills and Taylor Alston was as steady as ever with eight kills and two aces to lead the Bobcats to the 25-10, 25-15, 25-20 victory.

Gracie Gallagher had a pair of aces for Union.

BROOKVILLE 3, NORTH CLARION 0

Kyler Freeman had 15 kills for the Wolves in the 25-21, 25-14, 25-20 loss.

No stats were available from Bookville.

Brenna Thompson pitched in seven kills for North Clarion. Ainsley Hartle had 22 assists.
