CLARION, Pa. (EYT/D9) — The Karns City boys and girls soccer teams in Class A earned No. 1 seeds and first-round byes in the upcoming District 9 soccer playoffs in brackets released on Friday.
The Clearfield girls snagged the top seed in Class 2A with the DuBois boys and Bradford girls getting No. 1 seeds in Class 3A.
In Class A boys, No. 2 seed Clarion-Limesone will host seventh-seeded Brockway on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
No. 3 Redbank Valley will welcome No. 6 Brookville to Newbie for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
The winner of No. 4 Elk County Catholic and No. 5 Port Allegany, played at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at ECC, will travel to Karns City on Thursday at 6 p.m.
The final is at a site, day and time to be determined.
In Class A girls, No. 1 Karns City and No. 2 Brockway both received first-round byes.
The winner of No. 5 Redbank at No. 4 ECC, which will be played at 6 p.m. on Monday, will take on Karns City at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at KC.
The winner of No. 6 Clarion at No. 3 Brookville, played at 4 p.m. Monday at Brookville, will square off against Brockway at a time to be determined on Wednesday.
In Class 2A girls, Clearfield will take on St. Marys for the crown at 6 p.m. on Oct. 31 at Brockway.
In 3A boys, DuBois awaits the winner of No. 3 Clearfield at No. 2 Bradford, which will be played at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, for the championship. That match is scheduled for Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at Brockway.
In 3A girls, DuBois will take on Bradford at 5 p.m. on Oct. 30 at Brockway.
