Karns City Shakes Off Slow Start to Storm Past Clarion; Clarion-Limestone Downs A-C Valley

CLARION, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Brooklynn Taylor scored 15 points and Chloe Fritch added 13 as the Karns City girls basketball team survived a slow start to topple Clarion on the road, 48-16.

The Gremlins trailed 7-4 after the first quarter, but erupted for 24 points in the second quarter to take a 28-13 lead at the half.

Fritch and Emma Dailey each scored six points in the big quarter.

Dailey finished with eight points and Naomi Venesky added seven for Karns City.

The Gremlins held Clarion to just three points in the second half.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 50, A-C VALLEY 21

Alex Leadbetter scored 16 points to help the Lions down the Falcons.

KK Sebastian-Sims added 11 points and Jenna Dunn nine for Clarion-Limestone, which led 23-11 at the break.

Mackenzie Parks had a big game for A-C Valley with 11 points and eight rebounds.

MONITEAU 51, UNION 15

Catherine Kelly scored 17 points and hit three 3-pointers and Davina Pry added nine points and 13 rebounds for the Warriors.

Allie Pry pitched in eight points and Kendall Sankey six points and 10 boards for Moniteau.

Hailey Theuret led the way for Union with eight points.

CRANBERRY 37, FOREST 26

Kendell Findlay scored 14 points to lead the Berries.

Mariah Wessell also scored nine points for Cranberry.

Kaylie Rooke scored Amber Guzzi each scored 10 points to lead Forest.

Rooke also had eight rebounds, five steals and five blocks and Guzzi seven boards and five steals.
