Keystone Holds Off Clarion-Limestone; Redbank Valley Uses Huge Seventh Inning to Rally Past Cranberry

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Natalie Bowser had a pair of hits and Alannah Fulton drove in a pair of runs as the Keystone softball team held off Clarion-Limestone in the seventh inning for an 8-7 victory on Tuesday afternoon.

Clarion-Limestone led 4-0 after three innings, but Keystone scored three in the top of the fourth to close the gap to one.

A five-run seventh inning gave Keystone an 8-4 lead, but the Lions roared back, scoring three in the bottom of the seventh before Leah Exley got out of the jam by getting two groundouts to end the game.

Exley got the win in relief of Bowser. She worked four innings, striking out six.

Emma Gruber also had a triple for Keystone (6-4).

Alyssa Wiant went 3 for 3 with two doubles and two RBI for Clarion-Limestone.

Kaylee Smith triples, singled and drove in three and Olivia Smith doubled and singled for the Lions (2-7).

Jenna Dunn got the loss, striking out 10 in seven innings.

REDBANK VALLEY 11, CRANBERRY 9

Trailing 8-2 in the top of the seventh inning, the Bulldogs scored nine runs to stun the Berries.

Paytin Polka had two doubles and drove in three runs in the seventh inning alone for Redbank Valley.

Polka was 0 for 3 before the seventh.

Taylor Riple went 3 for 5 with three runs scored and Quinn White continued her torrid season at the plate with a homer, two singles and two RBI.

Sammi Bowser also tripled and Mackenzie Foringer doubled as part of the big seventh inning.

Foringer got the win.

KARNS CITY 13, FOREST 7

Jess Dunn homered and drove in four and Jada Polczynski went 4 for 5 with a pair of doubles and four RBI to lead the Gremlins.

Karns City had 16 hits. Lyrik Reed, Addison Burrows, Madison Gibson and Bailey O’Donnell each had multi-hit games for the Gremlins (6-5).

Reed picked up the win.

Izzy Flick had two doubles and Alexa Carll and Alexis Oswald also doubled for Forest.

Flick drove in three runs and Akeela Greenawalt went 2 for 3 with two RBIs for the Fires (3-4).
