ROLLING REDBANK: Bulldogs Win Again, Rallying in Second Half to Beat Clarion

CLARION, Pa. (EYT/D9) — It wasn’t long ago when the Redbank Valley boys basketball team was floundering.

The Bulldogs were 2-8 and searching for something — anything, really — to get back on track.

Then the wins started. First against Forest. Then at home against A-C Valley. Then another. Another still.

Redbank’s recent resilience faced a big test on the road on Thursday night against Clarion as the Bulldogs trailed 22-17 at the half.

But a big final two quarters helped Redbank continue rolling with a gutsy 44-38 win over the Bobcats.

Mason Clouse scored 15 points and helped spark the second-half rally for the Bulldogs, who have now won six straight to reach .500 at 8-8.

Owen Clouse and Kieran Fricko each scored eight points for Redbank. Fricko hit two huge three points in the second half to also key the Redbank Valley comeback.

Aiden Ortz also pitched in seven for the Bulldogs.

Bryce Brinkley led Clarion with 12 points and Devon Lauer added 11.

KEYSTONE 71, A-C VALLEY 50

Kyle Nellis scored nine of his 20 points in the first quarter to help stake Keystone to an 18-7 lead and Cole Henry poured in 21 to lead the Panthers to win over the Falcons.

Keystone led 35-20 at the half.

Jay Clover scored 16 points — 12 of those coming in the second half as the Falcons tried to make a run.

Brody Dittman added 13 and Ryan Cooper nine for the Falcons.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 87, FOREST 7
