TIONESTA, Pa. (EYT/D9) – Meah Ielase had seven kills and seven aces as the A-C Valley volleyball team remained unbeaten with a 25-5, 25-4, 25-5 win over Forest Area.
Paige Klingler added four kills and seven aces, Jenna Stefanacci eight assists and seven aces and Mackenzie Parks seven assists for the Falcons (4-0), who will play at Grove City Wednesday and at Karns City Thursday.
Venango Catholic 3, Karns City 2 – Rosie Carden had a big night for the Gremlins with eight kills, 13 assists, five digs and five aces in a 25-27, 25-18, 21-25, 25-22, 19-21 marathon loss.
Ava Fox had 12 kills and 15 digs, Natalie Hess seven kills and Cayley Craig 13 assists for Karns City.
Girls Golf
Moniteau’s Autumn Stewart fired a 44 at Hi-Level Golf Course to win medalist honors.
Emma Covert shot a 46, Brynne Barger a 47 and Marissa Shunk am 88 for the Warriors, who finished first as a team with a 137.
Kendall Findlay led Cranberry with a 46.
