Rupp, Fox, Martin Shine for Karns City Boys and Girls in Sweep of North Clarion; Sell, Heller Help Keystone Girls to Win

FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Micah Rupp won the long and triple jumps as the Karns City boys track and field team cruised to a 116.5-33.5 win over North Clarion on Thursday afternoon.

The Gremlins won 15 of the 18 events, including all three relays.

Rupp jumped 19 feet, 5 inches in the long jump and 39-1 in the triple.

Rupp also ran a leg of the winning 4×100 relay.

The Karns City girls also came away with a 109-41 victory over the Wolves.

Ava Fox and McKenna Martin were a triple-winners for the Gremlins.

Fox claimed firsts in the triple jump (30-4), high jump (4-7) and shot put (31-5) while Martin won the 100-meter dash (13.5 seconds), the 200-meter dash (27.9) and the long jump (15-3.5).

Chloe Fritch was also a multi-winner with firsts in the 100 hurdles (17.2) and 300 hurdles (51.6) for Karns City.

KEYSTONE AND UNION/A-C VALLEY SPLIT

Abbi Sell won three events to help the Keystone girls to a 91-46 win over Union/A-C Valley.

Samantha Heller also had a hand in three wins. She claimed first in the 1,600 run (7:15) and 3,200 run (16:18) and also ran a leg of the winning 4×800 relay).

Sell was first in the 100 with a time of 13.5, in the 200 at 27.9 and ran a leg of the Panthers’ winning 4×100 relay.

Ava Patrick also won multiple events, claiming firsts in the long jump (15-7.5) and triple jump (33-11) for Keystone.

Daniella Farkas won two events for Union/A-C Valley. She was first in the 100 hurdles (18.2) and 300 hurdles (50.8)

On the boys side, Sam Morganti and Landon Chalmers were multiple winners as the Union/A-C Valley boys downed Keystone, 83-57.

Morganti won the 100, finishing in 14.5, and also was first in the 200 at 23.7.

Morganti also was on Union/A-C Valley’s winning 4×4 relay.

Chalmers won the shot put (49-10.5) and the discus (144-9).

Tyler Albright won the triple jump (40-4) and the javelin (145-2.5) for Keystone.
