Union/A-C Valley Splits With DCC; Karns City Earns Sweep Over Clarion-Limestone

RIMERSBURG, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Sam Morganti was a four-time winner, Landon Chalmers won both the shot put and discus again and J.P. Blauser was also a multiple individual event winner as the Union/A-C Valley boys track and field team downed DuBois Central Catholic, 108-24, on Wednesday afternoon.

Chalmers threw 45 feet, 8 inches in the shot put and 154 feet even in the discus to be a double-winner again.

Blauser claimed firsts in the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.73 and in the long jump at 18-3. He was also a part of the winning 4×800 relay.

Skyler Roxbury won the 100 hurdles (15.89) and also ran legs of the winning 4×100 and 4×400 relays for Union/A-C Valley.

Aiden Grieneisen won the javelin for DCC. The Brockway senior, who competes for DCC as part of a co-op, threw 146 feet, 10 inches.

But Morganti had an exceptional day for the Golden Knights.

He won the 100-meter dash (11.55), the 400 run (58.5) and was on the 4×400 and 4×100 relay winners.

The DuBois Central Catholic girls beat Union/A-C Valley, 103-47.

Freshman Julia Sebring stole the show for the Cardinals.

Sebring won the 100 with a time of 13 seconds, the 800 with a time of 2:44, the 200 at 27.43 and ran a leg of the winning 4×100 relay.

Eva Bloom won the shot and discus for DCC.

Daniella Farkas claimed firsts in the 100 hurdles (17.33) and the 300 hurdles (50.95) for Union/A-C Valley.

KARNS CITY SWEEPS CLARION-LIMESTONE

McKenna Martin was a quadruple winner and Ava Kamenski, Sophia Bonetto were triple winners as the Karns City girls beat Clarion-Limestone 135-15.

Miley Mooney, Savanna Prescott and Naomi Venesky were double winners for the Gremlins.

Martin win the 100, 200, long jump and ran a leg of the winning 4×100 relay. Kamenski won both hurdle events as well as joining Martin on the 4×100. Bonetto won the 1,600 and was also on the winning 4×800 and 4×400 relay.

Martin ran a time of 12.9 in the 100, 28.5 in the 200 and jumped 15-5 in the long jump.

Kamenski finished in 18.09 in the 100 hurdles and 56.1 in the 300 hurdles.

Bonetto ran the 1,600 in 6:05.

On the boys side, Levi Hawk won both hurdle events, Dillan Stroup the 800 and 1,600 and Micah Rupp the 200 and high jump for the Gremlins in a 115-33 win.

Cooper Coyle was also a multiple winner in the long and triple jump and Landon Wilson in the 400 and pole vault.

Ryan Hummell won the javelin at 151-11 and also won the discus at 123-3 for Clarion-Limestone.
