Dawson Smail Collects Four Hits, Noah Harrison Homers as Clarion Downs Moniteau, 10-0

CLARION, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Dawson Smail went 4 for 4 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs as the Clarion baseball team kept rolling with a 10-0 win over Moniteau on Thursday afternoon.

Noah Harrison also homered and drove in three and Devon Lauer and Tanner Miller combined for a two-hit shutout in five innings.

The Bobcats (14-1), winners of 13 straight, broke the game wide open with seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Lauer got the win, giving up two hits and striking out five in four innings. Miller worked the fifth, fanning two.

Keagan Book doubled for Moniteau.

SOFTBALL

Kaylee Smith went 2 for 3 with a double and scored three runs as Central Clarion jumped out to a big early lead in a 9-1 win over Forest Area in a game shortened to five innings by rain.

Jenna Dunn also had a pair of hits and drove in two. She also got the win, giving up just the lone run on three hits while striking out seven in five innings.
