SENECA, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Trailing 6-0 heading into the bottom of the third inning, the Cranberry softball scored six runs to knot the game, then added three more in the fifth inning to beat Moniteau in a pivotal District 9 Class 2A showdown on Monday afternoon.

The stakes were the inside track on the top seed in the upcoming playoffs. That now goes to the Berries.
Cranberry took advantage of three Moniteau errors in the third inning to tie the game.
In the fifth, three more Warrior miscues turned onto three more runs for the Berries.
McKaylah Smith got the win for Cranberry and also went 2 for 3 at the plate for the Berries.
Emma Covert got the loss. Covert homered and drove in three for Moniteau.
Ashley Huffman went 4 for 3 and Emily Staab went 3 for 4 for the Warriors.
REDBANK VALLEY 15, BROCKWAY 5
Mackenzie Foringer went 4 for 5 with a double and five RBIs and Quinn White and Sammi Bowser also collected four hits for the Bulldogs.
Bella Orr was 3 for 4 with a double, triple and two RBIs for Redbank Valley, which had 20 hits.
Foringer got the win. She gave up five unearned runs on seven hits and struck out eight in six innings.
BROCKWAY 6, REDBANK VALLEY 4
In the second game, Kalina Powell and Stephanie Stage each had two hits to lead the Rovers to the split.
Gabby Hertel got the win in the cirlce for Brockway (3-13). She have up four runs (three earned) on six hit and struck out three in seven innings.
Foringer had three hits and Paytin Polka singled, tripled and drove in two for Redbank Valley.
Keyauna Schimp also had two hits for Redbank (8-9).
FOREST 11, KANE 0
Izzy Flick fired a no-hitter, Faith Dietrich homered again, going 2 for 3 with four RBIs, and the Fires won for the fifth straight time.
Flick struck out nine in five innings of work. It was her second five-inning no-hitter in six days. She tossed one on May 9 vs. Brockway.
Brenna Thompson also homered for Forest (8-5).
Madison McFarland and Akeela Greenwalt also had multi-hit games for the Fires.
BASEBALL
Trey Fleming went 2 for 3 with three RBIs in a 16-1 win in Game 1 and Fleming and Lane Bauer and Ty Fleming each drove in three in a 19-7 win in Game 2 for Union/A-C Valley over Keystone.
Bailey Crissman got the win in the opener, striking out seven in 3 2/3 innings.
Sebastian Link was the Game 2 winner, pitching 2 2/3 innings of relief.
Bauer was 3 for 5 in the nightcap with a single, double and triple. He also scored four runs.
MONITEAU 17, CRANBERRY 0
Dawson Wallace threw a two-hitter, striking out 10 and Keagan Book went 3 for 4 with a home run and five RBIs for the Warriors.
Wallace also homered and drove in four. Brock Matthews was 4 for 5 with two RBIs for Moniteau.
CLARION 19, FOREST 1
Dawson Smail and Matt Alston each went 2 for 2 with three RBIs for the Bobcats.
Bryce Brinkley was also 2 for 2 and drove in two and Noah Harrison was 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Clarion.
