DuBOIS, Pa. (EYT/D9) — Brayden Fox’s two-run double in the top of the seventh was part of a four-run rally that lifted the surging DuBois Central Catholic baseball team to a 5-2 victory over Clarion at Showers Field on Thursday afternoon.

After an 0-3 start, the Cardinals, the defending PIAA Class A champions, have won 13 of their last 14 games.
Fox drilled a 2-2 pitch the other way to left field to score Aiden Snowberger and Carter Hickman to break a 2-2 tie.
DCC (13-4) had just tied the game on a RBI single by Hickman.
The Cardinals added another run on a RBI triple by Kaden Brezenski.
After an error in the bottom of the seventh, Snowberger retired the next three batters and picked up the win.
Snowberger went three innings in relief of starter Carter Himes. He have up one run on three hits and struck out four.
Himes pitched the first four innings, giving up one run on two hits while striking out two and walking three.
Hickman was 2 for 3 for DCC.
Derek Smail got the loss for Clarion. He went 6 2/3 innings, giving up five runs on five hits.
Smail was 2 for 3 at the plate.
Dawson Smail was 1 for 4 with a RBI for Clarion.
SOFTBALL
Natalie Bowser went 3 for 4 with a home run, double and six RBIs and leadoff hitter Emma Gruber was 4 for 4 with four runs scored as Keystone downed Clarion-Limestone 12-2 in six innings.
Leah Exley was 2 for 4 for the Panthers. She also got the win, giving up two unearned runs on four hits and striking out five in six innings.
Kaylee Smith went 2 for 3 with a double for Clarion-Limestone.
Jenna Dunn got the loss. She struck out eight.
FOREST 10, KEYSTONE 6
Bowser homered again in the Panthers’ second game of the day, but Forest got three RBIs from Brenna Thompson in the victory.
Thompson went 2 for 4 with a double.
Faith Dietrich went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Brooke Felleti also drove in a pair for the Fires (7-5), who have won five straight.
Izzy Flick got the win, striking out 11 in seven innings.
Bowser got the loss. She gave up five runs, two earned, on five hits while fanning four in three innings. Exley worked the final four, giving up five unearned runs on four hits.
DuBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 12, CLARION 3
Rose Whipple went 2 for 4 with three RBIs and Melia Mitskavich had two doubles to lead the Cardinals past the Bobcats.
Jess Frank and Rylee Kulbatsky each went 2 for 4 for DCC.
Lydia Morgan got the win, giving up three runs on four hits and striking out 10 in seven innings.
Bri Forrest has two hits, including a double, and drove in a run and Hadlee Campbell also doubled and drove in two for Clarion.
